Team Leader – Paint Shop Process (Automobile)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Team Leader (Paint Shop Process) to lead a team of Process Technicians in a fast-paced, high-quality automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing paint shop operations during assigned shifts, ensuring quality, safety, and process optimization in line with control plans and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Paint Shop Process team during shifts
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and production goals
• Allocate manpower and resources effectively to meet operational targets
• Oversee execution of the Process Control Plan (PCP) and ensure daily compliance
• Troubleshoot process and equipment malfunctions and execute reaction plans
• Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives (PDCA, 5W analysis, etc.)
• Conduct daily briefings and performance reviews with your team
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of process-related activities
• Support technical training and skill development of team members
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Maintenance, Quality, and Production

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Technical Diploma (Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, or Chemical)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Paint Shop operations within manufacturing
• At least 1 year in a supervisory or team leader role
• Strong knowledge of PFMEA, PCP, SPC, MSA, and process documentation
• Proficiency in SAP, MES, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to read schematics (electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic) and lab equipment use
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus
