Principal Geophysicist

Scope of Work

• Provide geophysical expertise for global exploration, new opportunities, and existing projects.
• Work across scales (continental to near-mine) and diverse deposit types (e.g., porphyry copper, magmatic Ni-Cu-PGE).
• Mentor junior geoscientists and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Field-focused role with office-based technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical teams and district-scale projects.
• Coach junior staff, prioritize field activities, and drive discoveries.
• Integrate geophysical data with geological insights for target generation.

Technical Competencies

1. Exploration Expertise:
   • Multicontinent experience (minimum 2 terrains, 3+ commodities).
   • Mastery of geophysical methods (IP, magnetics, gravity, EM, airborne surveys).
   • Feasibility study and ore-body modeling experience.
2. Analytical Skills:
   • Strong pattern recognition, problem-solving, and predictive modeling.
   • Ability to integrate geophysical/geological data at multiple scales.
   • Discovery track record.
3. Behavioral Skills:
   • Leadership, multicultural adaptability, and communication.
   • Passion for fieldwork, collaboration, and scientific problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s in Geoscience (MSc/PhD preferred).
• Experience:
  • 15+ years in greenfield exploration, regional targeting, and geophysics.
  • Proficiency in English; eligibility to work in Saudi Arabia.
• Assets: Experience in VMS, epithermal, orogenic systems.
