Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented Travel and Tour Staff member to join our team. The successful candidate will assist clients in planning and booking travel itineraries, including accommodations, transportation, tours, and other travel-related services. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide top-notch customer service to ensure a seamless and enjoyable travel experience for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients in planning and organizing travel itineraries based on their preferences and budget.
- Book flights, hotels, transportation, and other travel services for individual and group clients.
- Provide detailed information about destinations, tours, and travel regulations.
- Handle travel inquiries, offer recommendations, and resolve customer issues or complaints promptly.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to secure the best deals and services for clients.
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and client interactions.
- Ensure clients have necessary travel documents such as visas, travel insurance, and health requirements.
- Stay updated on travel trends, regulations, and destination information to provide expert advice.
- Promote and sell travel packages and special deals offered by the company.
- Follow up with clients before, during, and after their trips to ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in the travel and tourism industry is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of popular travel destinations and tourism trends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in travel booking systems and software is a plus.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in travel and tourism or related fields (e.g., IATA, GDS training) is a plus.
Knowledge of global travel regulations, including visas and health requirements.
Experience in managing group tours and corporate travel arrangements.
